Joy Mining Co. exists to help you dig for joy — because the treasure buried in the dark is real, it's worth everything, and His name is Jesus.
OUR WHY
Something in you has always known it.
There is an ache that doesn't go away — not with the right relationship, not with the right career, not with the most carefully organized calendar or the most disciplined self-improvement plan. We keep waiting for that place we’ll achieve where we finally arrive, when the hard comes to an end and happiness becomes our permanent home.
But then the layoff happens. The illness is diagnosed. The stock market plunges, the marriage implodes or the child dies. In a thousand different ways life chokes our contentment and the ache returns.
That’s because we were made with a longing that can never be fulfilled by anything in this world.
St. Augustine said it this way: "You have made us for yourself, Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you."
True, lasting joy is not found in our circumstances - it’s found in the presence and person of God.
The yearning - the restlessness - were never meant to go away in this life. They were meant to make us search for the only One who can fulfill us.
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field." — Matthew 13:44
The man went digging into the dirt. And what he found was worth everything.
That's the theology behind Joy Mining Co.: There is joy, even in the dark — for those who find Jesus as their treasure.
In all of the hard that seems to have no end - God is working. Not despite the dark. In it. For our good. For His glory. For more of Himself in us.
The treasure is there - we just have to look.
Joy Mining Co. exists to help you dig. We built this for people honest enough to admit the ache is real — and brave enough to believe that what is buried in the dark is worth finding.
Right now, we do that through faith-inspired apparel. Designs built to declare truth, start real conversations, and remind you — and everyone watching — where the treasure is found. Every purchase also includes a devotional, because we want to help you not only wear the truth but live it.
We're building toward more: devotional content and resources for people ready to move from head knowledge about God to lived experience with Him. For now —
